About the Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Network (VISN 6)

To manage the health care of our nation's Veterans, attention is required toward reliability, safety, efficiency and efficacy. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is the nation's largest integrated health care system. VHA has been organized into 18 regional districts (Veterans Integrated Service Networks or VISNs) that manage care for more than 9 million Veterans in 153 Medical centers and more than 1,400 sites of care or Primary Outpatient Clinics, commonly known as Community Based Outpatient Clinics, community living centers and Domiciliaries. The VA Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network is one of the 18 VISNs.
