I am pleased to announce that Kevin P. Amick, MBA, MHRM, has been selected as the new Executive Director for the Salisbury VA Health Care System, effective December 17, 2023.

Mr. Amick is a seasoned health care professional and Navy Veteran with a wealth of experience and dedication that he brings to his new role. He is currently serving as the Executive Director of the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno, Nevada, where he oversees a healthcare system that employs over 1,800 full-time employees, serves over 47,000 Veterans, and has an annual operating budget of over $383M. Prior to joining the Reno team, he served as the Executive Director for the Butler VA Health Care System in Butler, Pennsylvania, and as the Associate Medical Center Director at the Durham VA Health Care System.

Mr. Amick is a highly skilled and experienced leader with sound leadership qualities who will undoubtedly prove to be an invaluable asset to our VISN, employees, volunteers, health care partners, community, and most importantly, the Veterans we serve. As a Navy Veteran who served as a Chief Hospital Corpsman and in other roles in the Navy Hospital Corps during his 21-year naval career, Mr. Amick possesses a unique perspective and understanding of the needs of the Veterans we serve.

Mr. Amick holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Health Science from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, a Master of Business Administration degree, and a Master of Human Resource Management degree from Strayer University, Chesapeake, VA. He is also a graduate of Federal Executive Institute and Health Care Leadership and Development Program.

I am confident that Mr. Amick will continue to be an asset to the VA, our employees, our health care partners, the community, and most importantly, to the Veterans, service members, families, and caregivers we are honored to serve.

Please join me in congratulating Mr. Amick on his new appointment!
